About
In January 2000, after some minor planning, I moved to Nashville from Birmingham to pursue the dream of playing music! I drove back and forth that first year, trying to keep some gigs back home while networking here in town, and after a year, I had made enough contacts and picked up enough work to finally let go of all my hometown gigs. For a while, I played every job possible, from roadhouse bars to country clubs to Lower Broadway, all the time meeting people and trying to move up the ladder. I got to play on a lot of jingles, such as Kroger and Blue Cross, and I played with a lot of Nashville Star artists, like Brad Cotter, Erika Jo, and Jamey Garner. I also got to work with many singer-songwriters and performers of all types, such as Redneck Buddha, Johnny Microwave, Peter Moon, Eric Agnew, Buzz Maintenance, and many more! I worked with Megan Mullins(Brokenbow), and Sarah Johns(BNA)-where we were the opener on the George Strait Tour in 2008- and along the way I got to have great musical moments like backing Bret Michaels, Chris Cagle, and Jeffrey Steele at Fan Fair 2005! I was playing with Chris Janson in 2006 when I got the opportunity to play with Billy Currington, so I made the change and have been with Billy since, being the Musical Director for the past 3 seasons. When I’m home , I also play with Aaron Loy, the worship leader at The Fellowship at Two Rivers. Thanks for reading, I’ll post more later!
